Island View

With each stunning Langkawi Island sunset viewed while sitting cross-legged on an old chair at my Awana hotel room balcony, as I calmly sip honey lemon green tea from a cup wrapped tightly in both hands and held closely against my chest, I realized... life simply doesn't get any better than this.

Life in Travel

Few visual perks from my two-week life in travel: Simple teriyaki meal with green tea. Extensive makeup set. Roses by the bed. New galaxy printed dress from Zara. Chanel Iphone case in white. Lilac nails. Best satay in town. Prada purse cake!

Iconic

Legendary Elvis as company while I showered. The renowned rock star service that truly makes you feel like a rock star. Hands down THE most comfortable bed in the universe that made it extremely difficult to get up in the morning to catch breakfast but the amazing breakfast buffet spread made 'sleeping in' til only 10am every day totally worth it. Not to mention a whole week of celebrating pop culture from the 50's through the new millennium in a radically vibrant and contemporary atmosphere!

Crabs and Craters

An experience is worth a million words and observing these enchanting mud crabs at one of the Kilim mangrove river banks in Langkawi Island was a major one for me. It was truy amusing to watch these little colourful creatures play around with each other and scuttle about before retreating to their crater-like burrows -- I'm highly envious of their freedom!

Washed Away

I've Been Rocked!

Rocked it mega hard during my stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang in Malaysia last week. Kicked back at their hip and trendy cafe one of the nights to wine and dine (indulged in their irresistable Jumbo Combo that included Sant Fe spring rolls, hickory-smoked chicken wings, onion rings, potato skins and tupelo chicken tenders... served with four different sauces!) while being entertained by one of the local indie bands.

Had one hell of a rockin' night for sure!

Holiday Mode

I'm officially on vacation, enjoying a humongous breakfast feast at my favourite kopitiam in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Will be staying here acting a fool before my next stop... Singapore!

Animal Instincts

Having a blast at Perth zoo! Despite the massive heat and dryness that felt worse than the Sahara dessert, few animals still managed to come out of the shade to show an antic or two. Going through the Australian Walkabout and Asian Rainforest was fun and all, but my ultimate favourite part of the zoo was without a doubt the African Savannah, a recreation that exhibits African painted dogs, African lions, cheetahs, Grant's zebras, Hamadryas baboons, meerkats, radiated tortoises, Rothschild's giraffes, spotted hyaenas and southern white rhinoceroses. It made me even more pumped to save up for my upcoming African trip!
