Vivid Volumes

Since we can remember, Flower Power has graced the runways and racks of designer labels everywhere. Despite its seeming ubiquity, there is something to be said about this print that makes a comeback every Spring. Touched by a hint of runway-couture, Distrikmode's take on Flower Power is as fresh and exciting as this season gets. The focus on this look is shapes and contours. So they say high shoulders and loud prints aren't for everyone -- we say, let go of that little mental discomfort and embrace your body! Feeling like some much-needed height? The top's high (not broad) shoulders bring focus to the neck and elongate your silhouette. Afraid the whole world is looking at your trunk-like arms? (which is all in your head by the way) The contours created by the cinch of the sleeves right above the elbows define and bring shape to this otherwise problem area. Off-setting the colour-infusing top is a fresh, clean-coloured billowy skirt that easily highlights or enhances any woman's gorgeous curves.

Simply, fashion isn't a "members only" club, it's a call to embrace art and body. Besides, isn't it time to extinguish the "I can't pull that off" mantra?
