These crazy duo I call sister Nabila and cousin Areesya are back at it again! After their Animal Kingdom madness and Not Halloween shoot, now they came up with Theatricality, to present as defined: exaggerated self-display and unnatural dramatic behavior. All taken with good ole Macbook Photo Booth!

Fiery Days
Past few weeks have been a whirlwind creative journey for me... and it's all just starting! In setting up my DISTRIKSHOP radical retail platform (95% complete!) I've been pulled left and right for product sourcing, photography, styling, editing, website coding, accounting and much more but I'm enjoying the whole process and can't be happier with the progress! There's no other way than to be active and involved in things I'm passionate about so I'm stoked to the bones to finally execute an idea I've been toying around for ages. I aim to create a retail space that connects designers, collectors and sellers worldwide in providing quality, authentic and innovative products that are edgy, wild and nostalgically vintage. All in the mission to beat fashion mediocrity -- naturally reacting to the saturated mass-produced style scenes in surrounding!
So while I continue to slave further behind the scenes of DISTRIKSHOP, here's a lookbook teaser featuring one of my models Mira. She's wearing an amazing web back dress, vintage tribal necklace, one-of-a-kind leather pouch and gothic mary jane platforms -- all of which will be available on DISTRIKSHOP very soon!

Day Shift
Being a maniac for all things leather, I was looking to add more coloured pieces to my hoard so you can imagine how stunned to the bones I was to see these pieces on ASOS. Clean, contemporary cuts that would easily go with my pile of edgy masculine boots. MEGA YES. I can't take my eyes off the buttery smooth leather of the teal mini dress by Urbancode (now only $82.37 from $308.26!). The double front pockets, cute, but not too cute so it's all good. And the brown suede dress by ASOS (now only $61.98 from $154.95!). How insane is that cut-out design in the back... and the double zip lines!?!

Romance in the Air
Not too long ago I attended my friend Amira and Paolo's modern and chic wedding at Acqua Viva on the Swan, a breathtaking venue built over Swan River on a private jetty by historical Nedlands marina. It was just my kind of ultimate wedding setup -- clean, contemporary and not overloaded with wasteful decorations. With neutral white and silver tones backing up the romantic atmosphere, the sound of luxury yachts gently rocking in their pens and the unforgettable panoramic river views, hands down it was the most relaxing wedding I've ever been to!

Garth Cook 'This Is Not Resort' 2013 Collection Launch
At the Garth Cook 'This Is Not Resort' 2013 collection launch that took place at 140 William last night. Though I'm not a huge fan of pastel hues, my eyes were undoubtedly drawn to the brilliant unique cuts and overall youthful designs. From the origami-like neklines to transparent dresses and billowy blazers, Mr Cook managed to capture my highly selective soul again with his novel creations!

Cheeky Sparrow
At Cheeky Sparrow cafe here in the nook of Perth, caving in to a phenomenal pizza feed and snapping shots of stylish strangers. Couldn't help that I was drawn to her perfectly rounded sock bun and feather cape silhouette!

Golden Ticket
Can't be happier with my new Steve Madden studded leopard KIMMMIE flats! I remember ordering them with a huge leap of faith due to the dull images on the Steve Madden online shop, which, I'm happy to note, are completely not representative of the actual shoes. I whipped these babies out first day I received them in the mail, to be paired with my Topshop batwing dress (previously worn here to Perth Fashion Festival with a custom designed leather harness), neon pink Supré bustier, golden Lovisa rings and vintage Salvatore Ferragamo purse for a night out with my man!

Garth Cook | *This Is Not Resort* 2013 | Behind the Scenes
Behind the scenes at Garth Cook *This Is Not Resort* 2013 campaign shoot
Behind the Scenes @ Garth Cook 2013 Collection by Kennedyboy Productions.
Signature tailored silhouettes. Statement patterns and colours. Unforgettable prints.
Labeled as the next big thing (no surprise!) by Australia's leading ladies of fashion at Yen, Cleo, Grazia, Russh and Oyster Magazine, Garth Cook will unveil his highly anticipated yet paradoxically named This Is Not Resort 2013 resort collection next Wednesday evening to a strictly invitation-only audience. Didn't get the invitation? No worries. If you're in town this weekend, make sure you grab a copy of the STM; the pages will reveal sneak peek preview of Garth's This Is Not Resort collection, featuring selective shots from the yet-to-be-released campaign images, shot by Ivan Shaw. The images feature Perth model Kim Wainscoat, with make-up direction by industry-favourite Lauren Wood, and hair by the King street cool-kids @ Head studio.

Escape to the Edge
For the first time ever I managed to get my sister away from her routine of playing poker games and dragged her to the Sorellas Pure Fashion Show. I piled all of my favourite elements in one go -- extra long fringe top from Shakuhachi, studded clutch from Sportsgirl, custom made leather cuff, shiny stone leggings from Supre, striking turquoise shawl bought in Malaysia wrapped into somewhat peculiar-looking turban around my head, and leather lace-up boots from Novo. I was rockin' such an atypical getup like I was ready to hit the casino that night, but I figured there's nothing wrong in expressing myself through fashion. After all, life's too short for mediocre dressing!

Sorellas P U R E Fashion Party
I had so much fun at last night's PURE Fashion Bar Winter Wonderland runway show that showcased mind-stimulating designs by local fashion designers Arlinamay, Jonte, Alessia Neri, Jessica Bratich, Rosie & Broken, Betty Tran, and Cebiche! The event was proudly presented by Sorellas Australia, a local fashion company that provides a platform for emerging and established Australian designers to showcase their latest creations via pop-up boutiques, online store, and fashion shows, on top of acting as a one-stop hub that provides support in styling services, branding, marketing, photoshoots and events management. Sorellas aim to take online shopping to the next level, promising competitive edge, so I can barely wait to see what else they have in store for the upcoming stage of their development!

PS: Thank you Bianca for the generous VIP tickets... We enjoyed the gift bags too!
