Garth Cook 'This Is Not Resort' 2013 Collection Launch

At the Garth Cook 'This Is Not Resort' 2013 collection launch that took place at 140 William last night. Though I'm not a huge fan of pastel hues, my eyes were undoubtedly drawn to the brilliant unique cuts and overall youthful designs. From the origami-like neklines to transparent dresses and billowy blazers, Mr Cook managed to capture my highly selective soul again with his novel creations!

Sorellas P U R E Fashion Party

I had so much fun at last night's PURE Fashion Bar Winter Wonderland runway show that showcased mind-stimulating designs by local fashion designers Arlinamay, Jonte, Alessia Neri, Jessica Bratich, Rosie & Broken, Betty Tran, and Cebiche! The event was proudly presented by Sorellas Australia, a local fashion company that provides a platform for emerging and established Australian designers to showcase their latest creations via pop-up boutiques, online store, and fashion shows, on top of acting as a one-stop hub that provides support in styling services, branding, marketing, photoshoots and events management. Sorellas aim to take online shopping to the next level, promising competitive edge, so I can barely wait to see what else they have in store for the upcoming stage of their development!

The stunning Perth Fashion Week showcase by Hendrik Vermeulen, a South African designer whose impeccable attention to detail exuded via his evening and bridal wear designs simply left me, and everyone else present, in deep silent awe.

I was super stoked to the bones when I received an invitation from TCFWA to attend the international shows during Perth Fashion Week (thank you Ms. Margaret Rushe Farrell for thinking of me and thank you Clarisse for making it all happen!) just as much as I was excited to see this particular show! So many beautiful pieces were paraded down the runway but these specific shots undoubtedly elucidate my irrefutable favor towards ultra short and mega long silhouettes. Seriously, how could I say no to luxurious lace mania, silky smooth drapings and thought-invoking cuts?

Runway to Reality:

Once again, I'm happy to announce that DISTRIKMODE is selected as one of the four major fashion websites in Malaysia taking part in live streaming the Burberry fashion show from Milan! Lets watch the show together, and if you see something you fancy from the show you can beat the rest of the fashion pack by getting your pieces well ahead before the full Burberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2012 menswear collection are made available in stores and online in July 2012! The collection will be available to purchase immediately following the show for one week until Sunday 22 January 2012 and all orders will be delivered within 8 weeks from order date.

Festive Romance

Touch of blazen orange and dash of silver shines in the Empire Rose collection remind me of a romantic holiday evening spent on top of a hill watching the sun goes down with a special someone... and those sparkly mini pouches? Can't be more perfect for holiday dinners.

Call of Coral

With the fashion savvy crowd at Malaysia International Fashion Week day 2 wearing 90% vintage consisting of hot coral Versace blazer, white embossed skirt, lace tank top and black evening purse. The remaining 10% includes suede Betts wedges, chain harness from Sportsgirl and Mango sunnies.

The Fascination

I know I'm highly intrigued by mind-stimulating designs in general but these creative pieces by PJ College of Arts & Design and Raffles College Malaysia made me realize that apparently I'm also into things resembling futuristic warriors, cone tentacles and sharp objects. Don't worry... I don't understand myself sometimes either.
