Electric!

Steve Madden Whittney wedges in blue suede.

The exact kind of power pair to shock the masses with.

Birth of Magic

Neon pink wool accents via We Love Wool | My neon pink Supre bustier + Steve Madden studded leopard flats + vintage Ferragamo purse

Sometimes all you need is that POP.

A pop of neon to heat up an outfit. A pop of idea to start an explosive business. A pop of spark to attract two beautiful souls.

Whatever it is, that very POP, albeit very teeny weeny itsy bitsy, will eventually create MAGIC.

Militant

Marched to the mall with my brigade of Steve Madden Miidori boots (how insane are those buckle straps?!), Supré leopard leggings, Sportsgirl studded clutch, Topshop metallic jumper and Lovisa accessories. Had a serious battle with my wallet but ended up denying purchase retreat and surrendered to obtain a pair of fluorescent lime green Aztec leggings. I mean c'mon. They're neon AND aztec! Can't wait to show yall the gem.

With No Limit

Caught up with my girl Agnieszka for dinner and dessert wearing H&M rubber-feel jumper, studded Supre leggings, leopard print turban and Steve Madden Miidori boots with edgy buckle detail down the sides (much needed close-up shots some other time, I promise!). Spent nearly three hours talking about things we probably never would conversate with our other half about -- her recent birthday party and how we should have a post-birthday monthly-versary parties, sale craziness and shopping bargains and how it's so hard for a girl to save money, $15 dress that looks like $150 (and keeping the actual price hush hush), cooking curry and trying to differentiate between Indian, Thai, Malay and Jamaican curry, dancing, her super freakin' rad Ted Baker patent leather purse (pictured above), saving for a girls trip to Bali, how we both are such outgoing people (some sort of self assessment and validation?), studying fashion and working in fashion, relationships vs friendships and the irony of how much easier it is to hurt a partner than a friend, Magic Mike, watching Magic Mike again, how insanely drool-worthy Channing is, how we still love Justin Timberlake no matter what, how hot Tom Cruise used to be, upcoming fashion shows, past fashion shows, fashion shows we both went together, fashion shows we plan to go to together this year and next, planning our next girl talk -- we went on and on and on. We talked so much 'til we were left with zero words upon arriving home. Just peaceful silence and happy smiles. No wonder men loves it when their woman gets out of the house to pour it all out during girl talks.

Crazy Ikat + Neon Hues

Just the exact kind of pair I need to add a LOUD tribal touch to my closet. Can't wait for the sky to stop crying so I can take these Steve Madden PAMMMY wedges out for their first walk. Daydreaming about teaming them with buttery soft leather skinnies and oversized muted jumper to keep me warm and cozy this winter without compromising swag. And just wait til summer gets here! I see these babies becoming a complete overused staple -- with fresh white-on-whites, billowy sun dresses, and even structural pieces. Instant head-turnin' eye-catchin' conversation starter.

Golden Ticket

Can't be happier with my new Steve Madden studded leopard KIMMMIE flats! I remember ordering them with a huge leap of faith due to the dull images on the Steve Madden online shop, which, I'm happy to note, are completely not representative of the actual shoes. I whipped these babies out first day I received them in the mail, to be paired with my Topshop batwing dress (previously worn here to Perth Fashion Festival with a custom designed leather harness), neon pink Supré bustier, golden Lovisa rings and vintage Salvatore Ferragamo purse for a night out with my man!

Black Magic

Leather, fringe, animal print, and studs... nothing else is new! Few quick snaps styling the Steve Madden Sachii platform wedges with simple long sleeved tee, sheer cardigan, maxi skirt and overly decorative sling bag, before heading out with my sister to pick up the first collection of products for our soon-to-launch KAZECA online shop (yes, it's really happening and we're uber excited!!). Seriously can't wait to share more about this new creation with you all... the shop website, our stylebooks, and most of all the products!! We'll be announcing our daily progress via Facebook and Twitter, so (if you haven't already) make sure you follow us for updates!

Morphosis

Leopard. Lace. Leather. And as of today, turbans.

I seriously cannot be happier with this carefree yet edgy structure. Literally has my name blasted all over it. Over here layering a favourite sheer lace skirt from Shakuhachi over an old pair of leggings and teaming them up with a vivid leopard printed cardigan from Ally. With a deliberately unfitting bright coloured scarf wrapped to become a turban, rusty old triangular necklace, simple cotton snood and THE Steve Madden Craizie ankle boots thrown in, the equation for an ultimate go-to getup came complete. I find the process of integrating the turban into daily styling just as fluid as the positive progress that's developing on this website: I'm teaming up with my sister Nabila to morph DISTRIKMODE into KAZECA, in the hope to become a bigger and better platform for style rad/mad-ness! But more details on that later.. but soon, so stay tuned.

Heading out to Kuala Lumpur city for a day of shopping! With my new favourite team, a head-turning leopard printed maxi skirt and Steve Madden's SACHII platform insanity!

I've Been Rocked!

Rocked it mega hard during my stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang in Malaysia last week. Kicked back at their hip and trendy cafe one of the nights to wine and dine (indulged in their irresistable Jumbo Combo that included Sant Fe spring rolls, hickory-smoked chicken wings, onion rings, potato skins and tupelo chicken tenders... served with four different sauces!) while being entertained by one of the local indie bands.

Had one hell of a rockin' night for sure!

Aquatic

Welcome to my aqua playground.

Having the beach practically as my backyard with azure vistas promising endless picture-perfect moments is the best part about living here in Western Australia. Craving to soak up the atmosphere filled with sun, surf and sand, I quickly pulled a fluorescent mullet dress from Ally over a pair of leopard stockings and Steve Madden Troopa boots, and skipped out of the door to take a mid day coastal stroll.

Change of Mind

What was I thinking, wearing both leggings and boots when it's 41℃ outside! Plus with this getup have I forgotten about my 2012 personal style resolution? Trust me, as much as I love these studded leggings from Supré, it didn't even last five seconds after these snaps. Finally feeling free of cloth restrictions, I then happily bounced to the city for the rest of the day wearing only a Witchery trapeze tank top as dress and the Steve Madden Troopa military inspired boots I chose as my January prize pair for winning their recent Sole Search competition.

Mad for Steve Madden

Photos by Nabila. Taken at the Steve Madden soon-to-be store in Suria KLCC Mall Malaysia.

I actually don't even know where to begin but... I won the Steve Madden Australia Sole Search competition! The way I found out was epically staggering though; I'm in Malaysia at the moment and were internet-less for two days so I had no idea what was going on when the result was announced until I received a long distance phone call this morning from my friend Zak in Perth. I was deep asleep when he rang with this mega exciting news and I could've sworn I thought I was still in dreamland. My first reaction was: "No. You're lying. I didn't win."

But I really did. And I want to thank each and every one of you special soul who voted for Distrikmode! Your love and support is priceless to me. It just motivates me to do bigger and better! I seriously can't wait to embark on this exciting blog adventure with Steve Madden so stay tuned for more insanity from me!

Sparkly Soul

No other way to highlight the beyond phenomenal Carnby-S sequin platform boots from Steve Madden than by toning down the rest of the outfit: made my custom designed leather harness less striking than as once styled before by layering it with its nude counterpart, the not-so-foreign-to-the-blog Topshop silk kimono bouse. Threw in a pair of plain biker shorts, Chanel purse and aviator sunnies into the equation and I was ready to rumble! The only accessory missing was a 300kg Night Rod Harley bike.

On The Rocks

I can't even pretend this wasn't one of the best days I had before I left Perth for a super long holiday in Kuala Lumpur. Perfect weather, perfect companion, perfect shore. There was cool breeze, enough for me to rock out the uber rad Steve Madden Carnaby boots to be teamed with my bright orange clutch, suede bush hat and a knitted wrap I bought that was obviously meant to be worn in winter but hey... who's keeping track of seasons these days?

PS: I'm competing to be the official Steve Madden blogger so if you feel I have what it takes please vote for me. All you have to do is 'LIKE' the Steve Madden Facebook page and 'LIKE' my blog posts there. Thank you so much for your support!
