Birth of Magic

Neon pink wool accents via We Love Wool | My neon pink Supre bustier + Steve Madden studded leopard flats + vintage Ferragamo purse

Sometimes all you need is that POP.

A pop of neon to heat up an outfit. A pop of idea to start an explosive business. A pop of spark to attract two beautiful souls.

Whatever it is, that very POP, albeit very teeny weeny itsy bitsy, will eventually create MAGIC.

Untamed Habits

Girls night out.

Got down and dirty at San Churros Chocolateria!

Militant

Marched to the mall with my brigade of Steve Madden Miidori boots (how insane are those buckle straps?!), Supré leopard leggings, Sportsgirl studded clutch, Topshop metallic jumper and Lovisa accessories. Had a serious battle with my wallet but ended up denying purchase retreat and surrendered to obtain a pair of fluorescent lime green Aztec leggings. I mean c'mon. They're neon AND aztec! Can't wait to show yall the gem.

Golden Ticket

Can't be happier with my new Steve Madden studded leopard KIMMMIE flats! I remember ordering them with a huge leap of faith due to the dull images on the Steve Madden online shop, which, I'm happy to note, are completely not representative of the actual shoes. I whipped these babies out first day I received them in the mail, to be paired with my Topshop batwing dress (previously worn here to Perth Fashion Festival with a custom designed leather harness), neon pink Supré bustier, golden Lovisa rings and vintage Salvatore Ferragamo purse for a night out with my man!

Escape to the Edge

For the first time ever I managed to get my sister away from her routine of playing poker games and dragged her to the Sorellas Pure Fashion Show. I piled all of my favourite elements in one go -- extra long fringe top from Shakuhachi, studded clutch from Sportsgirl, custom made leather cuff, shiny stone leggings from Supre, striking turquoise shawl bought in Malaysia wrapped into somewhat peculiar-looking turban around my head, and leather lace-up boots from Novo. I was rockin' such an atypical getup like I was ready to hit the casino that night, but I figured there's nothing wrong in expressing myself through fashion. After all, life's too short for mediocre dressing!

Daydreamer

Caught my sister staring into space while we were hanging out at a friend's front yard so I quickly grabbed the camera to play around with a few shots! She was lazing about in a striped top bought in Malaysia, camel coloured gelato skinny jeans from Roads (which are made of the softest fabric I've ever laid hands on) and simple black suede wedge boots. Doesn't hurt to daydream in style, I suppose.

Aztec Influence

My sis Nabila's spin on going tribal chic.

Layered a sheer aztec printed top from Kmart (scored for only five freakin bucks!) over a simple black dress. Topping the look with a shimmery shawl and headwrap to survive this windy winter weather in Perth, ethnic-inspired cuff from Lovisa and maroon suede boots, she was good to go!

Fine Prints

Contrary to the caliginous winter atmosphere, my eyes are drawn to all things filled with vibrant patterns and colours -- which resulted in the purchase of these new tribal and snakeskin earrings from my ultimate go-to accessory shop Lovisa (they're having a massive mid year sale right now so go go go!) and the capture of my sister's abstract printed turbanesque headwrap from Sportsgirl.

What sort of prints are striking your closet chord this season?

Black Magic

Leather, fringe, animal print, and studs... nothing else is new! Few quick snaps styling the Steve Madden Sachii platform wedges with simple long sleeved tee, sheer cardigan, maxi skirt and overly decorative sling bag, before heading out with my sister to pick up the first collection of products for our soon-to-launch KAZECA online shop (yes, it's really happening and we're uber excited!!). Seriously can't wait to share more about this new creation with you all... the shop website, our stylebooks, and most of all the products!! We'll be announcing our daily progress via Facebook and Twitter, so (if you haven't already) make sure you follow us for updates!

Morphosis

Leopard. Lace. Leather. And as of today, turbans.

I seriously cannot be happier with this carefree yet edgy structure. Literally has my name blasted all over it. Over here layering a favourite sheer lace skirt from Shakuhachi over an old pair of leggings and teaming them up with a vivid leopard printed cardigan from Ally. With a deliberately unfitting bright coloured scarf wrapped to become a turban, rusty old triangular necklace, simple cotton snood and THE Steve Madden Craizie ankle boots thrown in, the equation for an ultimate go-to getup came complete. I find the process of integrating the turban into daily styling just as fluid as the positive progress that's developing on this website: I'm teaming up with my sister Nabila to morph DISTRIKMODE into KAZECA, in the hope to become a bigger and better platform for style rad/mad-ness! But more details on that later.. but soon, so stay tuned.

Golden Spark

Outfit ensemble for tonight's dinner date! Decided to keep it casual glam by partnering this shimmery vintage inspired dress by Table Eight with my new favourite CRAIZIE leather ankle boots from Steve Madden. This dress tightly wraps down to my knees like second skin, giving of a super sexy silhouette, so... we'll see to what extent of craziness this piece will lead me to tonight ok! *wink*

New Heights

Heading out to Kuala Lumpur city for a day of shopping! With my new favourite team, a head-turning leopard printed maxi skirt and Steve Madden's SACHII platform insanity!

Lost in Layers

Photos #1 & #2 by Trish

In between shows with Trish at Perth Fashion Week. Looking back at these photos I can't believe I piled this much stuff on me. Whether I was trying to lose weight carrying the extra kilos or simply blaming the weather is completely beyond me but somehow I managed to walk around wearing a trapeze tank from Witchery, vintage Escada blazer, a pashmina from Malaysia, Sportsgirl studded clutch (which I know has appeared on this blog quite a lot recently, but I can't help it if it matches everything I wear!), custom made leather cuff, leopard printed stockings from Equip and Nine West Donley military boots.

I've Been Rocked!

Rocked it mega hard during my stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang in Malaysia last week. Kicked back at their hip and trendy cafe one of the nights to wine and dine (indulged in their irresistable Jumbo Combo that included Sant Fe spring rolls, hickory-smoked chicken wings, onion rings, potato skins and tupelo chicken tenders... served with four different sauces!) while being entertained by one of the local indie bands.

Had one hell of a rockin' night for sure!

Tropical Walk

One laid back afternoon over here at Bukit Bintang shopping central in Kuala Lumpur city, donning new ultimate favourites: multicoloured maxi dress and studded clutch from Sportsgirl, vintage bracelets, necklace and Tag Heuer watch, plus flea market cropped cardigan and sandals. Hands down the easiest team of outfit to walk around the city in while shopping!

Aquatic

Welcome to my aqua playground.

Having the beach practically as my backyard with azure vistas promising endless picture-perfect moments is the best part about living here in Western Australia. Craving to soak up the atmosphere filled with sun, surf and sand, I quickly pulled a fluorescent mullet dress from Ally over a pair of leopard stockings and Steve Madden Troopa boots, and skipped out of the door to take a mid day coastal stroll.
