Back for More

(Crash #53)
Model: Daisy Lowe | Photographer: Jermaine Francis | Stylist: Olly Paton

Literally bringing sexy back with lingerie-inspired casual wear. Who says intimate under-dresses only belong in the bedroom? Note how the point to tip lace-up detailing add as a killer seductive bonus.

Simplicity

(Flaunt Autumn 2010)
Model: Erin Heatherton | Photographer: Ben Watts | Stylist: Matthew Henson

Throw on a bralet (try lacy tank as alternative if you don't feel like exposing too much), a puffy skirt, and mannish boots to achieve a clean, fuss-free look. Add few accessories if you must, but we feel this ensemble is best left un-ornamented.

Heavily printed, yet with just enough skin shown to balance the proportions and amp up the flirt factor.

It's Only Natural

(Marie Claire Brazil October 2010)
Model: Paolla Rahmeier Photographer: Jacques Dequeker Stylists: Juliano Pessoa and Zuel Ferreira

The phrase "What to wear?" no longer crosses our minds when thinking of a getup for a rooftop garden party/fashion parade we're attending this weekend as soon as we saw this beautiful spread accentuating soft colors and textures. Feeling very inspired, we're already imagining an ensemble that unites pastels and lace, with styling so cool and laidback with only a hint of attitude, to make the event so very fashionably hard to forget...

Controversial Spark

(Numéro #117)
Model: Constance Jablonski Photographer: Greg Kadel Stylist: Patti Wilson

One of the latest controversial spreads by cutting edge magazine Numero that features 70s-inspired looks donned by a French model who took on a role as a mother to a black child. We find the fashion titillating as always, but the methodology is creating a lot of ruckus worldwide. What message is this spread trying to convey exactly?

Longing for Layers

(i-D Fall 2010)
Model: Ylonka Verheul | Photographer: Carlotta Manaigo | Stylist: Cathy Kasterine

Being in Australia where winter is passing by quickly and the heat of summer is starting to creep up the skin, we're starting to miss bundling up in comfy knits and layering materials of different textures. We envy those enjoying their autumn days at the moment. There's just something about this season of pumpkin pies and fallen leaves that sends a warm homey feeling through one's soul, with the leaves falling and the autumnal breeze whispering, as one cuddles in thick woolen blankets or strides in tough leather boots... Oh well, we'll just have to make do with Spring for now! Til we see you again Autumn...

One Life to Live...

(Harper’s Bazaar Australia October 2010)
Model: Natalie Hockey | Photographer: Derek Henderson | Stylist: Jillian Davison

...so make it an exciting one! Strangely enough, we find comfort in fashion eccentricism, as long as it is bordered by tasteful style. Hence, don't be afraid to stand out, be different, and use fashion as an outlet to voice yourself... because there is nothing worse than donning mundane outfits just to end up leaning towards comformity!
